My advice is to make known to the tourist tram tour Mobile. You can buy day passes or more. Around the areas of tourism and from top to bottom many times as desired. There is very little and makes a continuous loop so there is not much to expect for the next.

Personally, I would recommend is the Marriott Hotel Washington and the JW. Proximetiy Both are close together and the Washington Monument, the White House and other attractions.

Mobile Tour, I am sure you have a website that you can watch. I also know that tourism is a Segway Tours is the city. This could be great fun.

Washington DC has many museums. and all are open to the public free of charge.
Recommended 2 major museums, including:
1. Museum of Natural History
2. Air Space Museum.

1 full day for each museum must be booked cuz there are too many things to see inside!

Other points of interest such as the Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Capitol Hill, the White House, the Vietnam and Korean memorials, an office building of the Senate could be visited in a day or 2nd
You are in the vicinity.

So a week in Washington DC is more than enough.
You may want to consider spending a few days off in New York, only 4 hours by car or bus. (Bus, Gray Line buses offer such a service, including perhaps the day trips.)

Hotel wise, has a wide selection of hotels, but affordable as well located Best Western Hotels in Lincoln Suites, Comfort Inn in the market as Marriott and Holiday Inn, downtown for easy access, all locations and facilities.

I would say 3 to 4 days.

Do not forget to go to the Arlington National Cemetery.

You can take a bus up and down many times as you want, you save on foot.

nothing good about a meter have to spend a beautiful day, I think, is about $ 5, which offers unlimited travel during the day. You can access the normal points Smithsonian White House, etc., and then there's a few other sites could also be seen. The International Spy Museam excuse for me Verizon MCI Center is interesting if you are into things like James Bond. Georgetown a few shops in Nice, I do not know if you want to tell your wife. In general, wanted the best, what to do, to go underground, use more quickly to a car, saw traffic to DC in the late spring and summer. A trick you can get bottled water in one of several pharmacies in the city is usually more expensive than any of the suppliers.

I would say at least 5 days to enter the enclosure.
As for accommodation, the best idea is to stay in a hotel near a metro stop. In this way, you can walk to the subway, you can always meet in Washington DC.
