To connect laptop to LCD tv,should i use a VGA cable or a VGA to DVI adapter connected to DVI-HDMI cable? - inputting to laptop vga out port
I've heard that the release of HDMI cable is better than with the VGA cable. My TV has two HDMI inputs and VGA, but my laptop has only a VGA port.

HDMI is just better if you start with a digital signal.
Since the computer and television have both VGA, it is logical, easy to use.
There is no sense in your case, to VGA to HDMI conversion and the same result.
